In preparation for the closing of the current Souderton Area High School on School Lane at the end of the 2008-2009 school year, activities are being planned to commemorate and celebrate the history of the current Souderton Area High School culture and building. Throughout the 2008-2009 school year, many activities will occur within the high school community to ensure that Souderton’s past is paid its due respect. The most important date/event will be the Open House/Mega-Reunion for all SAHS graduates, scheduled for Saturday, May 30th, 2009.

For the Open House/Mega-Reunion, there will be specific times alumni from each decade to convene in the building, culminating with a formal ceremony at 4:30p.m.

In preparation for our ceremonial closing of the current Souderton Area High School, the Commemoration Committee would appreciate your sending any photographs you would be willing to allow us to borrow. We are hoping to gather enough historical photographs to fill our printed district calendar next year. Please submit photographs by May 1st, 2008.

Additionally, the final Homecoming at the current SAHS is scheduled for Saturday, October 18, 2008, with the football game kick-off at 6:00p.m.
